Fran's First Book Signing
Fran's first book signing was at Waldenbooks, Columbiana Mall, Columbia, South Carolina, on October 6, 2007.
The first book she signed was for Jonathan, the Waldenbooks employee who booked the signing. The basket on the floor is full of Moon Pies, which are Callie's favorite treats and are given by Fran to folks who buy a book.
Some really great ladies who came to The Happy Bookseller to buy A Tisket, a Tasket, a Fancy Stolen Casket. MYSTERY WRITERS OF AMERICA EDGARS AWARDS, NEW YORK, APRIL, 2007

Donald Westlake died New Year's Eve, 2008. Fran cherishes his many books, which remain wonderful no matter how many times you've read them and is especially grateful she had the opportunity to talk with him in New York in 2007 when this photo was made..
Stephen King... 2007 recipient of the MWA Grand Master Award.
Assisting him is Ridley Pearson.
